Hackers are back

As response to some comments,
we do not go round hunting for hackers
it's either they happened to step into the channels we're training at
or we step into theirs
Hackers who do not bother us
we will not bother them as well

like what I've said,
there are both nice and bad hackers out there
but it frustrates the legits when some hackers are being inconsiderate to them
most commonly-known case are: hackers vaccing or botting non-stop even when a legit was training in the map

if the hackers can be more considerate
and hack more discreetly
will the legits even find out there are hackers?

if you want to be a hacker,
please be a professional one
otherwise,
don't blame others for catching you and reporting you
and don't get mad if you get banned

The Final Post - Nice hackers do exists

since the day hackers came to existence,
many legits have persevered hard enough to get those hackers extinct
after many months of hard work of reporting
or sending mails to nexon,
it has finally come to an end

during this journey
two hackers that i once caught..
changed my opinions about hackers

before i met them
the hackers that i saw were unpleasantly rude
not a single word was mentioned to them and they start swearing at legits and GMs
it was a turned off sight
they hacked maps even when people were training there
most of them abused the capability of what a hack can do - stealing maps or ksing people
that was what inspired me to get rid of all hackers

i've met hundreds and hundreds of hackers
but out of all
2 of them stood out the most

today,
at this very moment,
i came to realize that they are just like humans like us
they just choose to play a different way like we do
not all hackers are mean people..
just like not all legits are nice people..
we have no rights to discriminate them at all
before we do, we have to look at ourselves first

I don't mind being friends with hackers who have a sense of maturity
because they know what they are doing
they don't go swearing at people
they dont go stealing legits' maps
or using hacks to ks legits

I never got any chance to try to be a friend to a hacker
until I met HoiyBandit2U
he is a very nice guy and a very sweet bf to his girl too
how can we discriminate a nice person just because he chooses to hack?
but since he chose to hack,
he should have expected some discrimination and hatred from legits.. like I did before
I won't get into the story how is he being nice and all
but it's the way he present himself to everyone
it's the gesture of how he speaks
and the way he treats his gf..
it made me respect him as an ordinary human just like anyone of us.. and a friend too

the 2nd person that changed my mind even more
is when I met SxCs2wK..
before I actually knew him..
I have seen screenshots of him swearing and just hacking endlessly without cc-ing when someone was in the map with him
i have personally seen him using hacks to steal someone's fm spot too
but let's think about it
everyone has their moments
people use profanity whenever they are annoyed or pissed off
maybe my friend said something to him that made him blew off
unlike other hackers who start swearing at u when u did nothing at all
when he stole an fm spot..
he did not entirely cover the other person's store
that store can still be seen
i know how hard it is to find a fm spot esp when u need to get the things sold asap
i would say that it is true..
that legits complain is due to unfairness..
but this guy here..
was being very thoughtful but it was never justified..

I had a personal encounter with him
he helped me once and I felt I should repay his kindness by making a stand here..
I had a str+8, atk 105 blue screamer put up in my store
i made a mistake in missing out a zero
it was meant to be put up at 280mil
but it ended up at 28mil
when i found out the buyer turns out to be SxCs2wK..
I kinda thank God for it
because I have spoken to him before and he is a very polite guy
he has his mannerism..
I talked to him about my screamer and asked if I could have it back
my screamer is worth at least 100mil+
he could have just kept it and ignore me
sell it and make a huge profit
but no..
he did not
he did the right thing.. in reselling my screamer back to me with a little profit but it didn't matter
i just wanted my blue screamer back

there was no greed in him
i only saw compassion and understandingness from this guy
his friend was holding my screamer
but he got it back for me

i dont even think all legits would do the right thing like what SxCs2wK did
he doesn't even know me personally but he helped me
the thing that i was most surprised at abt..
he knew that I was the leader of ColdFusion..
who has written posts about him on this website..
i thought he would be mad and take revenge on me by not returning my sword
but i was wrong
he still did

insensible people can call him stupid for doing the 'right' thing
but sensible people would think differently..

the point im making is..
i think we should all learn not to discriminate people just because we think they are all the same
the world is made up of good and bad people
we cannot say all hackers are bad people
because not all legits are good people too..

we have no rights to despise them..
and it will be injustice to discriminate a nice person who has done no harm to people

I once reported SxCs2wK for stealing a fm spot
I won't deny that
but I have never tracked him/stalked him/defamed him
none of the ColdFusion members did
because it seems like he has this idea of us tracking him and mass defaming him
he can choose not to believe me
but my conscienousness is clear
I have nothing to hide about what I did
same to HoiyBandit2U
I once reported him too but no defames nor tracking

These are good people with a good heart regardless of what path they chose
similar to the real world..
do u think all mafia or gangsters are heartless people?
do u think all police and soldiers have a heart made of gold?

I learned a lesson today..
I hope anyone who reads this..
will understand the message I'm bringing across
you may not have met a nice hacker throughout ur time in MS
but believe me..

Up to date,
many hackers have been removed from Rankings
Banned or unbanned,
we do not know
but at least,
we can differentiate between hackers and legits now

Most of hackers caught and posted in this site have been removed from the ranking
it doesn't mean that Nexon views this site
it just mean that Nexon is always trying their best to provide MS a hack-free game..
at the same time,
they try to keep their profits coming in as well..

I noticed that there are relatively fewer hackers now in MS

Hackers Behind the Scene

Ever wonder why hackers would make names like "ggguekfd", "asdflkjw", "ioadfjk"
do they go for fames or rankings?
do they pretend to be legit?

Ever wonder where the mesos company get their mesos from to sell to maplers?

well,
in the following SS,
u'll understand what is the main purpose of those hackers..

apparently, these hackers are from the supplier which sell mesos to the merchant company in which they sell it to the maplers. In the SS, the hackers were passing the mesos to the "supplier supervisor" and the "supplier supervisor" would pass it to a merchant, getting ready to pass the mesos to the buyer.

The purpose of these hackers... is to get as much mesos as possible, and sell it to maplers.

So,
even if they get banned,
they will just remake a new character and keep on hacking non-stop
how can we keep them away?

What kind of hackers are you most interested in?
in hoping to see them getting banned and never return..

For a while now I have been telling you all that we have "Hacking Detection". I hinted that we have been watching. I expressed how serious we are about getting rid of hacking in the game. It seems many people still have not gotten the hint. So, we have decided to adapt our methods a bit. For several months now we have been logging all hacking that has happened in-game.

Since these logs were implemented we have been running tests and scenarios to determine the accuracy of these logs. As of this time we have not found any false positives in these logs.

Additionally, we have run several control scenarios in which players during late hours were found in-game hacking. We waited to ban them until the next day during known work hours. This lead to several claims of "Legit Bans" of course, this was wrong, as we had the evidence in hand.

Out of the thousands of accounts we have looked into at this point, I have only found a couple accounts that were actually wrongfully banned. And those were either related to KSing hackers, or leeching from a hacker, which we have informed players not to do in the past.

I think many of the members of the Maple community who read the forums can probably remember some of the effects of this. Yes, this is why we saw such a rash in "Legit" claims, and also why we could prove these were false with videos. We have found that the "Legit" claims stem from bans that take place in any way different than normal. For example, when our weekend shifts ban people, when we ban on verified logs, and when we ban FM hackers. These all receive "Legit" complaints, because these individuals did not think they could have been caught as they weren't disconnected while they were actually hacking. Obviously, this isn't the case.

On that note, I have a few announcements. Starting today we are banning out of our logs, almost exclusively. As all hacking in the game gets logged, there stands to be a great deal of players banned. If you are hacking, you are going to be banned. This will continue until the implementation of an auto banning system. Don't think bypassing gameguard is going to save anybody, gameguard is not the tool used to log, this strictly server-side.

Unfortunately we can not implement permanent bans at this time. That time is coming soon as well, but we aren't quite there yet. However we have adapted to this as well. From here on out we are also implementing hack severity ratings. This means, the more we see that you have hacked, the longer you will be banned. Many players received up to 90 day bans today. This is not the most severe penalty, only the most severe issued today.

I also need to announce that Rank Blocking has been put into place. All players banned for hacking will now be taken off the rankings permanently, regardless of severity rating. (finally, hackers are off the rankings list)

Finally we would like to announce that we will be banning guilds in their entirety if we believe them to encourage illegal activity. This means, if a hacker is in your guild, and you are NOT a hacker, you need to kick them out immediately.

Guild leaders are responsible for the members of their guild in ALL activities. You are the role model and the authority figure. If your guild rules do not encourage fair play, you might want to implement that rule now. If your guild is a problem, it will be banned.

These bans will take place with or without warning depending on severity. This does not mean that just because one person got banned for hacking the whole guild gets banned. But it does mean that if we believe that the guild is a problem, it will be resolved.

We are committed to fixing this situation. While we have been focused on hackers, many players have taken advantage of our decreased presence when dealing with Community Standards, harassment and other in-game issues. This stops today.

KSing, holding maps (i.e. Zakum), foul language, harassment, scamming, mass defaming; these will all be met with 30 day bans from now on. Additionally, all accounts tied to your account will also be given a 30 day ban, as well as your entire guild in some cases.

Many players are expressing their frustrations over the hacking and general "drama" going on in-game right now. We appreciate all of the suggestions, comments and constructive criticism. Not only does it help us focus, but it is always discussed, and often times used to determine priorities.

The Maple Community has been a strong force in our motivations on the decisions and policies implemented today. We have a lot of work to do, and we thank you for your continued support.

what is it that makes legits dislike hackers so much?

any comments from whoever reads this website?
some legits don't really care about hackers..
why is that so?
however most legits want all hackers banned..

What are the hackers thinking?
Don't you want to listen to what they say?
I believe that whenever there is a situation..
it is best to listen to both side of the stories

however...
rules are rules
hackers broke the rules
and they are deserved to be banned

Promises Guild - Biggest Hackers' Guild?

It is said (and also have been seen) that Promises Guild is the biggest hackers' guild in Windia Almost all (though we do not know if it's technically ALL) are hackers.

We received an email from one of our dear Windian legit with some interesting screenshots attached to it..
Seems like someone in Promises Guild admitted that he provides the hacks to his guildmates.

Is it believeable or unbelieveable?
It is SxCs2sK again.
his main, SxCs2wK was already banned

"Poor guy" had no peace no hacking.

His other guildmate, oOSTACyOo, level 101 Ranger has God-mode on. They were chatting while a gatekeeper was there. In Promises Guild.

Someone asked us "Why you block the names but not the guild name?"
Look on the right side of this website "mail screenshots to:"
the guild name is already in the email.
So even if we block out the guild names..
people are still able to find out the guild doing this website.
we created an email with our guild name is because of guild events going on in the guild and we do send emails to our guildmates.
we came up with making a website to post screenshots of hackers because some of us couldn't mail the screenshots to Nexon.

Anyway,
It took us some time to screen out the screenshots that people sent in
If you noticed that your screenshot is not posted here
that's because
1) we want screenshots that are recent (1 week period)
2) we want screenshots that show they are hacking (e.g: they are hitting the monsters)

Yesterday was Maple's Birthday
there was double exp for 12 hours
so everyone was busy training and hacking
many channels were filled with hackers
and we caught a few until we found an empty channel

Also,
to clarify some misconceptions,
we do not go around hunting hackers
because we are also players of MapleStory who wants to train and level up
sometimes,
we do track people, whom we suspect, are hacking

LaoSword, level 108 Crusader, caught hacking at MDT yesterday during double exp. Today, he's -BANNED- (Guild: NorthSide)

There are 2 hackers in this map, AssissinTwo (level 37 Assassin) was caught vaccing the MDTs. (Guild: TheFallen)

It is strange how AssissinTwo changed channel and not the DK. He's from Battousai Guild so we suspect that he's one of the hackers too. He was killing the vacced monsters. We suspect that either AssissinTwo is a friend of his who is helping him, or it's his vaccing mule.

"Wannabe-Legits" Hackers

If a level 98 ex-hacker says to u..
"Come on! I've already quitted hacking"
you know that he hacked from level 1 to level 96 and got his temp banned..
do u think it's fair to let him "be legit" from level 96 onwards?
okay the answer is No.

Perm ban is the best for these kind of hackers.

However, what if he was legit from level 1 to level 70 and he turned to hacking from level 70 to level 96?
is it fair to give 2nd chance?
some will say yes
some will say no

it's contradicting BUT..
I believe that those who are sincere in being legit again..
they will start a NEW account..
they will leave their hacking character..
and start afresh.

So,
the only way to END this hacking problem permanently in MapleStory..
is to change Temporary Ban to Permanent Ban..

so the hackers can't say..
"i don't care.. it's only temp ban for the first time. i'll try to hack as much as i can"
or
"if i get temp ban, I'll just re-create another character and hack again until the 1st one is unbanned"

SLaYeR6661, level 120 Mage, from OvertEvil. I couldn't believe when it's a high level mage hacking at retz. I can see the retz flying to him. I guess the only reason why he's hacking at retz is because of the new KFT quest that needs you to get 300 sack of rice.

Why are you standing there with a shark and a goby for? Were you hacking? EitanBandit, level 119 Chief Bandit, from Ghosts. There are very few legit CB nowadays. I really feel sorry for those Legit CBs.. because they will be mixed with the hackers even though they are legits.

SinKidz again? I believe this is in his lvl 4x. Earlier today, someone emailed the screenshot of SinKidz hacking at zombies. Minutes ago, a different person emailed me this screenshot. Honestly, in this SS, it does Not looks like he's hacking. 1) He's cursed and 2) he can't shoot them, he hits them (1 dmg).

Let's take a look at the most recent SS of SinKidz.

Zombies are really near to him and he's still able to shoot them. Hmmm.. We still can't prove that he's hacking from these SS but we will keep an eye on him. (level 68 today)

we believed that they got it by hacking pianus early this morning..
and perhaps they have a CB with them too..
to help them blow up pianus..

i think the reason will be clear when u see the following SS
however,
we do not know the reason why he got unbanned..
some people claimed that bcs he is one of the big customer in MS who buys tons of NX Cash..
that's why Nexon unbanned him..
we do NOT know if that's true..

He once megaphoned that he has quitted hacking and he said if he hacks again, he will quit MS. I think he should quit MS really.

Today we were on my way to do my "Soul Collector" Quest..
and we found a few hackers..
first, we found a hermit hacking but he logged off and couldn't find him..
then my guildmate saw a female cb..
but didn't manage to catch her name..
so.. 2 hackers managed to run away..
however..
we still managed to catch other hackers..

First, we caught Fun2Bandetz, level 109 Chief Bandit hacking at Ghost Pirates. Look at her beautiful damage to the Buffies. She kept cc-ing each time we were in her channel. (she's full of NX) and she has 132 fames.
Later on,
we continued to track her and we found her guildmate hacking with her at Buffies..
StripStar, level 69 Cleric was hacking with her.

seem like there are more..
and most people has given up catching hackers..
i've given up tracking hackers and take SS of them..
well..
sometimes i still do..
and i never fail to report them whenever i see one.

It's a good thing that Nexon has increased the number of reports a person can make..
hopefully Nexon can create a better gameguard each time..
but hacks just gets better each time too..
it's never-ending..

we started defaming and reporting him because we were one of his victims
some of us survived, but some died because of him

I think we're more interested in "Secret" hackers..
they are the ones who claim they are legits when they are hackers..
they are the ones who have lots of fames
they are the ones who are probably popular among their friends..

that catches my attention most..

I was training at DTs and suddenly, my DTs got hit and it "missed". I never miss once in DT, perhaps when I'm lower level, but not now. So, I suspected that a hacker is in my map. I saw him but I didn't think he's a hacker so I didn't take SS until i saw other DTs got hit and then he CC-ed. so I followed him.. he kept on CC-ing. Anyway, he's ClericCorp, level 59 Cleric. He's in the guild Sagittarius.

YanivMage22, level 82 I/L Mage, in ReunioN guild. He hacked, CC-ed, hacked again and then F6 at me and then log out. ..... If you dare to hack, why aren't you dare to admit?

Hackers always wonder why we hate them so much..
so here are the reasons why we want hackers out of the game..

firstly, they use hack to ks legits
secondly, they use hack to steal legits' channels
thirdly, they use hack to challenge their friends (competing their levels)
fourthly, they use hack to find items
fifthly, they stay on rankings and disrupt the rankings system

well basically, the legits just find it unfair
hackers may say.. "that's ur business"
well, they are right..
it IS our business..
so posting these screenshots here.. IS our business too..
We shall see which side will Nexon stay on..

Hackers OR Legits?

GameMasters have the highest power in Maplestory
what we, the legits, can do is..
provide as much information as we can..
to get these hackers banned

Nexon employers and GameMasters are doing their best to make Maplestory a free-hack game
but u know what..
it is impossible
because new hacks are out everyday..

there's no way we can stop people from hacking..
or stop computer-genius from creating hacks..
but the only way we can do is..
minimizing the hackers' community..
Nexon and GameMasters are trying their best..
be patient with them and try to understand that it is impossible to make Maplestory a free-hack game..
Just continue to have faith in them and do what we have to do..
"Take Screenshot, Report them and Send the Evidence"

We are all aware that Hackers are given a 2nd chance when they are banned
First ban - last for 30 days
Second ban - permanent

If they hack for the 1st time and got banned..
let's all hope that they will continue to hack for the 2nd time..
and get permanent ban.

Nexon should consider removing the hackers off the ranking system
or.. create a list of hackers in ranking orders..
Putting hackers and legits both in the ranking system.. is just unfair..

Hackers may voice their anger..
but...
do we care?
who cares if they get angry?
who cares if they laugh at us?
who cares if they jeer at us?
well..
no one cares about how hackers feel..
they are just a disgrace..
a shame to the MapleStory community

if they claim they are legits
do not believe them..

It's best not to have a hacker in your guild..
otherwise the guild name will be tarnished...

we caught a player from HotSauce using God-Mode..
God-Mode is a kind of hack too..
He CC-ed really fast and unable to catch his name..
but he is a level 1xx Mage

So now..
we're starting to think about why members in HotSauce are so high level..
they hacked?
they used god-mode to kill Zakums?
that's how they level so fast?

Well,
let's not make any assumptions.
We believe that there are legits in HotSauce guild..
but just to let all of you know..

if there's a hacker in your guild..
expel him/her
to protect the guild's reputation..
as well as your own guildmates..

can u imagine..
u're a legit and someone calls u a hacker (or hacker guild)..
because they saw someone in ur guild hacked before..
how would u feel?
